Kevin Mooney

Kevin Mooney was Commanding Officer of USS SAN FRANCISCO (SSN 711) when the submarine ran into an uncharted undersea mountain in 2005. He and his crew went to heroic lengths to save the ship and return it to port in spite of one sailor’s death and many more with critical injuries. After the Navy, Kevin went on to executive leadership positions in the maritime shipbuilding industry where his extraordinary leadership was recognized and his impact was lasting.
